What

AgileConsent has developed a simple Mobile-ready consent platform to generate the consents, and acquire eSignature. Implementing an end-to-end electronic digital signature mobile solution to replace paper surgery forms in a simple and engaging manner.

Why

Consenting patients before procedures/operations/lab work is a critical compliance requirement that all hospitals and doctors have to perform. Hospitals are struggling to maintain a balance between getting the patient consented quickly, completing and filling consents accurately into patient chart while including all the needed detailed documentation. Chart errors, paper consents missing, which can cause problems to the hospital, patient and overall workflow and operations

Features

AgileConsent delivers the following features and services:

  • Simple mobile-ready user interface to generate the consents and acquire eSignatures.
  • Based on SOA, utilizing API to integrate into EMRs and backend systems in real-time.
  • Integration with major EMRs (through API-based adapters) as well as custom-built EMRs. There is no need to replicate PHI data using HL7.
  • Pre-built surgery database that is fully customizable to fit hospital needs.
  • Platform that can be used to generate clinical consents as well as administrative consents.
  • Integration with multiple eSignature providers.
  • The solution is multilingual. It supports English and Spanish consents out-of-the-box. Other languages can be added as needed.
  • The workflow is customizable to support multiple signatures, in-person witness, over the phone consenting, consent translator, and multiple surgeries
  • Solution module can fit into existing workflows adopted in Research institutes, such as OnCore from forte.
  • AgileConsent comes with its own Analytics module (a customizable dashboard that is delivered out-of-the box with customizable reports).
  • AgileConsent alerts (e.g. notification that risks of a certain surgery has been updated by a certain department or surgeon).
  • Support services of the product (bug fixes and periodical upgrades).
  • Professional services (advanced customization, integrations with 3rd party solutions).
  • AgileConsent is offered both as a SaaS and as an on-prem offering.

How

AgileConsent can demonstrate this solution on-prem in ambulatory clinics as well as hospital surgery departments. This solution eliminates the need for the pre-printed consents, saving hospitals thousands of dollars annually. Also with our solution, we can avoid misfiling of consents, missing consents, or incomplete consents. AgileConsent has been architected to be open-architecture to well integrated with other EMR solutions.

The workflow is robust and easy with several clicks and drop down menu. We can operate on-prem, desktop browser or Mobil browser. We have an extensive database of surgical procedures that not only describe the right surgery but also articulate risks and alternatives.

AgileConsent will merge all the data and creates a PDF ready for e-Signature. The Consent will be signed by:

  • Simple mobile-ready User Interface to generate the consents, and acquire eSignatures
  • Based on SOA, utilizing API to integrate into EMR and backend systems in real-time.
  • Integration with major EMR (through adapters) and custom built EMR. There is no need to replicate PHI data.

All patient and treatment information is presented digitally so nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists and HIM staff can access and process with their own workflows. AgileConsent is fully compliant with HIPAA and Joint Commission. Plus, it’s fully compatible with your HIS and clinical systems so you never have to worry about system integration issues

After the signatures are collected, and the form is complete, the system will integrate with EMR system and upload the document onto the patient’s chart using the MRN/FIN/Visit/Encounter.
